Technology Leadership, Not Traditional IT Support
KTA helps schools understand their technology, make better decisions, manage risk, plan for future investments, and work effectively with their technology providers. We work alongside existing IT staff, managed service providers, and technology vendors to provide the independent leadership and oversight school leaders need.
Technology Leadership Services
KTA evaluates eight core domains through the lens of mission-driven leadership, answering three critical questions: Where are we now? What should concern us? What should we do next? The completed assessment identifies significant findings, priorities, recommendations, and a practical roadmap for moving forward. The assessment can stand on its own, with no requirement to continue into an ongoing KTA engagement.

Cybersecurity Guidance & Readiness
KTA helps define project needs, research options, evaluate approaches, review vendor proposals, identify concerns, and advise school leadership throughout technology projects. Full project management and implementation can be separately scoped when needed.
KTA helps schools understand their cybersecurity readiness, track progress, and determine which improvements provide the greatest practical value based on risk, available resources, budget, and cyber-insurance requirements.
Technology Lifecycle & Budget Planning
Vendor Management
KTA can communicate directly with technology vendors, review proposals and recommendations, question recommendations when appropriate, evaluate performance and value, and advocate for the school’s interests.
KTA helps school leadership understand what technology it has, how old it is, when replacement should be considered, and what future investments may cost. We also look for opportunities to extend useful life, consolidate systems, improve licensing, reduce unnecessary spending, or choose a better alternative.
